01 Night Camping in Wadi Rum + 02 Nights in Petra

Rose Red City Tour provides a travelling through the Egyptian desert to catch the ferry to Aqaba to discover Wadi Rum & Petra in Jordan visiting: Ancient Nabataen city, long famous Siq, El Khazna, Old rose-red buildings, Facades, Baths, Temples and unforgettable drawings.

Day 01: Cairo / Nuweiba or Taba / Aqaba / Wadi Rum

Transfer to the port of Nuweiba or Taba and catch the ferry to Aqaba. Arrive Aqaba by the ferry, meet, assist & transfer from Aqaba to Wadi Rum (made famous as the base for the Arab revolt during WW1 and the filming of Lawrence of Arabia). We then travel through stunning desert landscape en route to stay in a Desert Camp and have a traditional dinner.

Day 02: Wadi Rum / Petra
Breakfast and then start the tour, in the jeep tour for 2 Hours in a moonscape terrain of ancient riverbeds, towering cliffs and smooth, pastel colored sands. Then continue to Petra, arrive the hotel, overnight.

Day 03: Petra
Enjoy this wonderful ancient Nabataen city, which indeed is unique on this world. We ride a short way on horsebacks and continue by feet through the 1,5km long famous Siq until our eye first catches the imposing treasury El Khazna. Petra reaches over a total area of 40qkm - look at all those hundreds of old rose-red buildings, facades, baths, temples and unforgettable drawings. After this wonderful walk, you will be driven back to your hotel in Petra, overnight.

Day 04: Petra /Aqaba / Nuweiba or Taba

After breakfast we transfer to Aqaba Port and catch the ferry back to Nuweiba or Taba. Arrival, meet & assist by our representative and transfer to Cairo. The trip finishes on arrival in Cairo.

Petra

Petra is perhaps Jordan's most famous attraction, lost to the world for centuries, it is an entire city carved in stone over 2000 years ago and was once the thriving capital of the Nabataen Kingdom that established itself as the centre of trade between the ancient East and West. It is a truly a fascinating experience to walk through the Siq canyon which leads to the dramatic first sighting of the Treasury.

Amman

Amman is the capital and is a perfect blend of old and new nestling on a hillside between the desert and the fertile Jordan Valley. The downtown area of the city is a fascinating place to explore and there is evidence of the city's much older past everywhere you turn. Places of interest downtown include the restored Roman Theatre which dates back to the 2nd Century AD and the Roman Forum, a public square bordered by the theatre and the Odeon which was the largest of the Empire. Whilst, the thriving commercial district boasts amenities that can be found in any modern day city from internationally renowned hotels to art galleries and shopping centres.

Aqaba

This year round resort has something to offer for everyone and is a popular destination for all age groups Aqaba lies at the southern end of Jordan, where the desert merges with the crystal clear blue waters of the Red Sea. There are a wide range of activities to indulge in from snorkelling to desert safaris or trips to the fascinating rose red city of Petra.

The Dead Sea

The Dead Sea has been known since Biblical times for its health giving properties. With much of the landscape virtually unchanged since ancient times this is an ideal spot for a peaceful break. The Dead Sea lies in the Jordan Valley at the lowest point on earth. The natural salt levels of the Dead Sea are so high it keeps you afloat without having to move a muscle. Relax in the calm waters and marvel at the fact that you cannot sink! Spend the time sunbathing, swimming or treat yourself to some of the many spa treatments on offer especially the well-known healing powers of the minerals from the sea bed
