Day 01: Cairo

Arrival at Cairo International Airport, Meet and greeted by our representative who will assist groups through immigration and customs formalities. Transfer to Hotel & check-in.

Overnight in Cairo.

Day 02: Cairo

Breakfast. Excursion tour to visit, Citadel that was built by Saladin in the 12th Century and was the seat of power for the following 700 years. On the premises is the Alabaster Mosque of Mohammed Ali, one of the landmarks in Cairo whose minaret can be seen from any part of the city. The Mohammed Ali mosque was built in Turkish style, very similar to the Blue Mosque in Turkey. Then visit Mosque of Sultan Hassan (it was founded by Al-Nasser Hassan Bin-Mohammed Bin-Qalawon) then visit Mosque of Ahmed Ibn Tulun This is the third "large mosque" built in Egypt. It is characterized by its spacious hall, its unique spiral minaret and a large collection of gypsum decoration. At the end of the day we will transfer you back to your hotel. Overnight at your hotel.

Day 03: Cairo

Breakfast. Visit to millenary Islamic University of El Azhar, then to the Islamic Museum where are kept among other treasures an invaluable collection of antique Mosque lamps. Tour continues to the annexed Anderson Museum of Islamic Art. By the  car to Bab El Fetouh & Bab El Nasr, two famous gates of the Fatimid City, Bab Zuweila ,El Hussein Mosque and El Mouayad Mosque. Finally visit two of the most beautiful Medieval Islamic houses at Beit El Sheimi. Then Back to the hotel,
Overnight in Cairo.

Day 04: Cairo                                                                             

Breakfast. Full day tour in the Mosques starting the mosques of El Refay which has three mosques inside it. Then go to the mosque of the daughter of the prophet El Saida Zeinb .then go to visit the mosque of the daughter of the Prophet El Saida Nafiesa . Then visit Manial Palace (ex – Crown Prince Mohamed Ali's Oriental Palace) on Rodah Island, where a fine collection of Arab Art and Mosaics can be admired. Visit of the reception the rooms, the gardens, the private museum, and the beautiful mosque. The duration of the visit is around two hours. Then by car to the Cairo Tower (height 600 ft.) on Gizirah Island to enjoy a panoramic view of Cairo.

Day 05: Cairo

Breakfast. Transfer back to Cairo International Airport for departure.

In 642 ADE, Egypt was conquered by the Arab Muslims who were welcomed by the Copts, because they rid them of the long dark Byzantine rule and allowed them to elect their own Patriarch. From Fostat, the 1st Capital in Egypt (in the Islamic Period) (now part of Cairo), Egypt was administrated as a province of the Islamic Khalifate until 868, when it was announced a new independent rule in Egypt by Ahmed Ibn Tulun who established The Tulunid Dynasty (868-935), followed by the Ikhshid Dynasty (935-969) until the Fatimid dynasty (969-1171) were the only Shietes (an Islamic sect) who ever ruled Egypt. Their palaces were built inside a fortress called "al-Qahira", which expanded to become modern Cairo. Their first Caliph built Al-Azhar mosque in 972, which continues to be the foremost center of theology in Islam and the oldest continuously practicing university in the world.
