Detailed Itinerary

Day 01: Cairo

Arrival at Cairo International Airport, Meet and greeted by our representative who will assist groups through immigration and customs formalities. Transfer to Hotel & check-in.

Overnight in Cairo.

 

Day 02: Cairo

Breakfast. Excursion tour to visit, one of the Seven Wonders of the World: the Pyramids of Giza (Cheops, Chephren and Mycerinus), Cheops is the most colossal ever built. Next is a close-up look at the sphinx - a huge funeral complex guarded by the legendary lion body with the face of king Chephren. Then visit the Step pyramid in Sakkara (Sakkara (Saqqara) is one of the most extensive archaeological sites in Egypt! It was the cemetery for Memphis, the capital of Ancient Egypt, yet it is still one of the virgin archaeological sites, despite the fact that so much has already been found here! The site is dominated by the Step Pyramid of King Zoser, which goes back to 2700 BC. It is one of the oldest stone structures in the world!). Then visit the cemetery for Memphis (Founded in the 1st Dynasty (3100 B.C) by King Narmar, Memphis was the capital of Ancient Egypt, and the first capital city founded after the unification of Upper and Lower Egypt. It remained as the capital of Ancient Egypt throughout the Old Kingdom. Because of the many necropolises associated with Memphis, many Egyptologists believe that it was once an extremely large city, though no archaeological evidence proves this, at present!)

Day 03: Cairo / El Fayoum Oasis / Cairo

Breakfast. Transfer from Cairo to El Fayoum by A/C car (103 Km south west of Cairo, its cultural and historical background of Pharaonic, Greco Roman, Coptic and Islamic antiquities that makes El Fayoum an exceptional resort destination and an excellent site for bird watching). Visiting: Hawara Pyramid (Built by King Amenemhat III of the XII dynasty), The Meidum Pyramid (ne of the earliest pyramids, is located 30 miles south of Memphis. It may have been built for King Huni, the last ruler of the Third Dynasty. No inscriptions have been found giving the name of the builder but there is graffiti. The graffiti was scribbled on the walls by visitors of the XVIII Dynasty, which suggested that the pyramid was at that time considered to be the work of Seneferu, the first ruler of the Fourth Dynasty (2575-2551 BC)), And Al Lahoun Pyramid (built by king Senousert of the XII the dynasty). After finish transfer back to Cairo.

Day 04: Cairo / El Minya

Breakfast. Drive to El Minya, visiting on the way Tuna el-Gebel (10 km west of Ashmounein. There are cemeteries with murals decorated with striking paintings, which is a blend of Pharaonic and Greek arts. Its most important monuments are priest Petosiris and lsidora's tombs. The area contains also the labyrinth area which is the burial ground of god Toth. In Mallawi there is a museum that houses most of the relics of Ashmounein and Tuna Al-Gabal). Ashmounein (10 km from Mallawi. It was the capital of the region at that time and was called “Hermopolis”. It contains the relics of a Greek city where there are a number of basilica pillars. It is similar to the Acropolis temple in Greece).

Day 05: El Minya / Cairo

Breakfast, start your tour visiting Beni Hassan tombs they were quarried during the 11th and 12th Dynasties for local Princes of the area. The brightly colored painted scenes of domestic life, sports, dancing and other leisure activities provide a detailed picture of life in Egypt in the Middle Kingdom. Continue your tour visiting Tell Al-Amarna (It is the place chosen by Akhenaton to build the capital of kingdom called Akht Aton (Horizontal of Aton) for the worship of Aton which is represented by the Sun disk emitting rays which end with human hands bestowing life on the universe. This area still has monuments of the temple and places where Akhenaton and his wife Nefertiti lived, and also the royal tombs of which of the high priest Mery Ra 1 st.),  then drive back to Cairo.

Day 06: Cairo / Abu Simbel / Aswan

Breakfast, transfer to Cairo Airport & help you for check in for your flight to Abu Simbel you will be transferred to visit the great Temple of Ramses the 2nd one of the greatest and most whimsical kings of Egypt the temple is dedicated in theory to the gods Amon-Ra, Harmakis and Ptah, the temple was carved in sand stone rock cliff with the four colossal seated statues of the King in front of the entrance, each statue is 20 meters high and measures 4 meters from ear to ear, taking a closer look you will realize that each statue present the  king Ramses in different ages of his life starting from youth age till he became a mature King, the temple wall decorations celebrate the military grandeur of the king, continue your tour visit the temple of Nefertari the King's beloved wife. Both temples were threatened by the increasing level of the Nile upon the completion of the Aswan High Dam and have been preserved in the 60’s by international action organized by UNESCO. All parts of the temple have been moved and rebuilt on a plateau above the former site, the temple is considered a miracle of the ancient and modern history Return to Abu-Simbel Airport for your flight to Aswan (around 12:30 AM). Transfer to the Hotel. After noon free at leisure to explore more of Aswan and the surroundings.

Optional: "Why not visit the newly opened Nubian Museum witch poses very rare and unique pieces from pre dynastic eras showing the evolution of human industry of pottery and weapons, the museum contains a big part about the Nubian culture, in addition to the Pharaonic, Christian and Islamic monuments."

Day 07: Aswan

Breakfast. Excursion tour to visit, Philae Temple (The Temple of Isis is one of the greatest Temples in Egypt and it occupies about a quarter of the island. It is the main Temple on the island, with its huge, complete, pylons and beautiful scenes), High Dam (One of the most outstanding architectural achievements of the twentieth century. It was constructed to replace the old Aswan dam built in 1902. The High dam was constructed to protect Egypt from the floods as well as providing irrigation and electricity all over Egypt. It is 3600 meters long. Visitors can easily locate lake Nasser which is a huge water reservoir) and Unfinished Obelisque (The beautiful red granites that were used in building the temples and monuments in the ancient days were brought from the quarries of Aswan. Now while you are on a trip to the Unfinished Obelisk you can see innumerable inscriptions in the area around the quarries. These are probably the descriptions of the various quarrying projects that were undertaken in the past days). After finish back to your hotel.

Day 08: Aswan / Kom-Ombo / Edfu / Luxor

Breakfast. Morning transfer to Luxor visiting on the way Kom-Ombo Temple (Located in Kom Ombo town, 45 km north of Aswan. It is built on a hillside overlooking the Nile. This temple was constructed in the Ptolemaic Roman era for the worship of god Haroeris and Sobek, the crocodile god. It is noted for relief engravings on its walls which show ancient surgical tools, bone saws and dentistry tools. Nearby there are three mummified crocodiles. They are now in Hathor's chapel) and Edfu Temple (Lies in Edfu town, 123 km north of Aswan on the west bank of the Nile. It dates to the Ptolemaic period. It was dedicated to the worship of god Hours represented as a falcon. It is one of the most beautiful Egyptian temples, distinguished by its huge splendid structure that blends Pharaonic and Greek architecture. Its grandeur competes with Luxor temples. It is the second largest temple after Karnak. It also houses the Nilometer and a huge pylon at the entrance).

Day 09: East Bank of Luxor

Breakfast. Excursion tour to visit, the east bank, first visit will be the Karnak Temple (the largest religious complex in the world it was continuously built by generations for 2000 years, the temple was mainly dedicated to the God Amon Ra who became the most important in Thebes the capital, the most celebrated feature of Karnak is the great hypostyle hall that covers 600 square meters large enough to hold within both St. Paul’s Cathedral of London or the entire Notre Dame of Paris, a forest of 134 columns supports the ceiling all decorated with religious scenes the hall was built by Sethos the 1st and Ramses the 2nd, the relives and the pharaoh’s chronicles elsewhere in the temple presents an incomparable historical source, much of our knowledge about Egypt and the neighboring countries come from them, they also recall stories of the Bible), continue your tour to visit Luxor temple (the temple was built and used over a period of many generations but  Amenophis the 3rd started building the temple and parts of it were completed by Ramses the 2nd where 2 of his seated colossal statues flank the doorway of the temple, the temple was connected to Karnak temple by the a 4 kilometres avenue of the sphinx witch is still big part of it existing, one of the very interesting parts in Luxor temple is the chapel built by Alexander the great for the God Amon Raa picturing himself as the son of God, what is more interesting is the chapel he built is an exact copy of the chapel built by Amenophis the 3rd about 11 centuries before Alexander built his own comparing the 2 chapels you will find a great difference in quality in favour of the old chapel built by Amenophis) After finish back to your hotel.

Day 10: West Bank  of Luxor

Breakfast. Visit the West Bank including: Valley of the Kings (Is a valley in Egypt where for a period of nearly 500 years from the 16th to 11th century BC, tombs were constructed for the kings and powerful nobles of the New Kingdom (the Eighteenth through Twentieth Dynasties of Ancient Egypt). The valley stands on the west bank of the Nile, across from Thebes (modern Luxor), within the heart of the Theban Necropolis.), Colossi of Memnon (The two colossi are made of sandstone, which during ancient times was brought from Gabal El Silselah. Each colossus, including the pedestal and the crown, is about 21m tall and represents King Amenhotep III seating on his throne, wearing the Memes, or royal headdress, with the divine cobra protecting his forehead. On the sides of the colossi there is a representation of the Nile god Hapi, bending together the lotus and the papyrus plants, symbolizing the union of Upper and Lower Egypt) and Temple of Queen Hatshepsute (Hatshepsut was the fifth Pharaoh of the18th-dynasty who was one of the handful of female rulers in Ancient Egypt. Her reign was the longest of all the female pharaohs. Her funerary temple still stands as a tribute to her incredible rise to power).

Day 10: Luxor / Abydos / Denderah / Luxor

Breakfast. Visit Abydos Temples (1.The Temple of Seti I: In commemoration of King Seti I representing him in his various relationships with the gods and goddesses. Annexed to it is a symbolic tomb of the King known as Osireion, as King Seti I was buried in his famous tomb in the Valley of the Kings in Luxor .The temple contain the famous list of-the-kings of Egypt since Mena came to power until the era of Seti I, called the list of Abydos.-2.The Temple of Ramses II : A few walls still remain, but they retain some vivid and brightly colored scenes and a full record of the famous battle of Qadesh) then visit Denderah Temple (On the West Bank of Quena city 60km north of Luxor. It is one of the Greco-Roman temples for the worship goddess Hathor. It was built by King Ptolemy III and its construction was completed by the Roman Emperors. The ceiling of the hypostyle room has an astronomic decoration with the symbolic representation of the sky). Arrive in Luxor in the evening.

Day 12: 2nd West Bank of Luxor / Cairo

Breakfast. 2nd Visit to the West Bank including: The Valley of The Nobles (Sheik Abd El-Gorna: The site has rock cut tombs of Nobles, and high officials of ancient Egypt, who once served the Pharaohs during the time of the New Kingdom. (1500 - 500 BC). Among the most important tombs in this cemetery is the tomb numbered 55, which belonged to Ra-Mose. He was the mayor of Thebes, and during the end of the reign of Amenhotep III (Amenophis III) and his son Akhenaton, the vizier. Unfortunately this tomb is unfinished because Ra-Mose moved, with Akhenaton, to the new capital Akht-Aton (modern day Tell El-Amarna), therefore the decoration work stopped, and the tomb was left unfinished, except for the scenes which already had been completed. Because of this, we can appreciate the high techniques that Egyptian art had during that period.).Then visit The Temple of Madinat Habu (One of the largest memorial Temples in Egypt. It measures 320m in length (east to west) and about 200m in width (north to south). It was built to commemorate Ramses III, after his death, by orders of the King himself. A huge mud brick enclosure wall surrounds the Temple.). After finish drive to Luxor Airport for your flight to Cairo, upon arrival you will be met & transferred to your hotel.

Day 13: Cairo

Breakfast. Excursion tour to visit, Egyptian Museum of antiquities. On display is a rare collection of 5000 years of art the largest most precious collection of Egyptian art in the world. Over 250,000 genuine artefacts are presented, including an exhibit dedicated to the Tutankhamen collection of treasures, gold, and jewellery, as it was enclosed in his tomb for over 3,500 years before it was discovered in the 1920s when his tomb was excavated. Then visit the renowned Saladin Citadel that was built by Saladin in the 12th Century and was the seat of power for the following 700 years. On the premises is the Alabaster Mosque of Mohammed Ali, one of the landmarks in Cairo whose minaret can be seen from any part of the city. The Mohammed Ali mosque was built in Turkish style, very similar to the Blue Mosque in Turkey. Then visit Khan El Khalili Bazaars (One of the earliest and greatest markets in the Middle East). After finish drive back to your hotel.

Day 14: Cairo

Breakfast. Excursion tour to visit the red and the bent pyramid: the 2 pyramids were built for king Seneferu (4th dynasty of the old Kingdom) the father of king Cheops both pyramids are considered the step before the last on the long way of evolution in pyramid building (Giza Pyramid are the most perfect). The bent Pyramid called so due to its unique bent top, it was believed if they continue building with straight angle the pyramid would have collapsed, it is the only pyramid still have the complete lime stone layer covering the whole pyramid which make it very special. The Red Pyramid is as big as Chephren pyramid but with different angles and in a very good condition, it was called the red pyramid due to the colors of the inside room walls, the room inside is open to visit), drive back to your hotel.

Day 15: Cairo / Alexandria / Cairo

Breakfast. Transfer from Cairo to Alexandria by A/C car, arrival Alexandria, transfer to your hotel, after check in, start your Trip Visiting the Roman Theatre (A theatre with marble seats up to 800 spectators, Galleries, Section of mosaic flooring & a pleasure garden surrounded by Roman Villas & baths). Then visit Pompay's Pillar, Followed by visit to the Catacomb of Kom El-Shoqafa (Tombs on three levels, also contains The Triclinium where relatives used to sit on stone benches to feast the dead, a center with relieves of bearded serpents. Inside, there are 2nd Century AD statues of Sobek & Anubis wearing Roman Armor).Followed by Visiting Montazah Garden, Library of Alexandria (build in the same spot the historical one was existing the library contains a beautiful museum with very special pieces from the ancient and modern history of Egypt) and Also from out side you will Visit Qaytbay Citadel & El Mursi Abu El Abbas Mosque. After finish drive back to Cairo.

Day 16: Cairo

Breakfast. Excursion tour to visit, The Old part of Cairo, as Egypt was one of the first countries to embrace Christianity. We visit The Church of Abu-Sergah and St. Barbara, The Hanging Church, and we will also visit The Old Jewish Synagogue Ben Ezra Synagogue, then drive to Gayer Anderson museum witch consists of 2 houses from the 16th and the 17th century built with a unique architecture style, both houses were delightfully joined together, the museum is filled with antique furniture from all over the Middle East, the 2 houses were owned by a British Lord called Gayer Anderson who collected all the antiques in the museum, in the same spot you will be visiting Ibn Toulon mosque one of the biggest mosques in Cairo built in the 8th century with a unique design influenced with Persian style then El sultan Hassan mosque built in the 13th century and is considered one of the best Islamic architectures in the Islamic era, drive back to your hotel.

Day 18: Cairo / St. Catherine

Breakfast. Transfer to St. Catherine. Visiting on the way Suez Canal, Ahmed Hamdy Tunnel, Oyoun Moses (Moses Sources), Hamam Faraun (Pharaoh's Bath). On arrival, proceed to Village.

Dinner & Overnight in St. Catherine.

 

Day 19: St. Catherine / Cairo  (Not on SAT or SUN)

Shortly after midnight, transfer to Mosses Mountain. Ascend the mountain for sun rise panoramic view. Return on time for breakfast. Visit St. Catherine Monastery (The monastic order was founded in the 4th century AD by the Roman Empress Helena who had a small chapel built beside what was believed to be the burning Bush from witch God spoke to Moses, The Chapel is dedicated to St. Katherine the legendary martyr of Alexandria, who was tortured on a spiked wheel and then be headed for her Christianity, her body was supposedly carried by angles to Katherine mountain then 300 years later her body was found by monks from the monastery, a fortress was added to the monastery in the 6th century by emperor Justinian with a Basilica to protect the Christians of southern Sinai since then the place is visited by Christians pilgrims from all over the World, the complex posses many attractive and rare Icons from 6th century to the 18th century, many golden candle holders beside it’s very important library that poses many historical hand written bibles and many important historical messages and agreement). Transfer back to Cairo. On arrival proceed to your Hotel.
